Kansas is suing the owner of MET-Art and many other popular sites for not complying with their new age verification law.

Here is an XBiz article about it:

Kansas sues MET-Art network

Several states have passed some sort of anti-porn law in the last couple of years, including Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, and Virginia. PornHub was forced to stop operating in Florida due to a new law taking affect January 1st.

The main focus of these laws is to prohibit access to adult imagery and content by kids. Kansas state claims the warning page is not enough to prevent access to the adult content depicted on the MET-Art websites.

A paysite paywall is the best guardian of adult material, so the paysites on our PornCMS network are mostly compliant. However, sexual content in thumbnails and other non-member imagery should be reduced where possible.

For many of the sites on our network, redoing all of the thumbnails would be an insane task!

So we have added a BLUR feature to the cms. The blur feature, when enabled in Media settings, will add a blur filter over your video and/or photo thumbnails (like the hamster tube site). No thumbnail editing is required.

To enable thumbnail blurring, go to SETTINGS>MEDIA in the new v7 admin or the legacy admin. We have added it to both admins and both active stock front-end templates.

The Supreme Court is reviewing all of these new anti-porn laws, so there is hope on the horizon. Thanks to Lelu Love for pointing out these new laws!
