Its been awhile since I sent a cms newsletter. There's been a lot of updates, so I thought I'd better get one of these out.
That brings me to the first update, Member News.
I used the Marketing>Member News module to send this newsletter. Its been active for 6 months and many sites are sending out regular newsletters, a vital part of the growth machine!
You can create unlimited lists and newsletters. There's a default monthly sending limit. If you want a higher sending limit, just email me and I can add more credits to your account.
One of our fast growing site owners, Doctor Tampa, recommended our "Series" upgrade. This update allows you to organize your video library by Series and Seasons (like Netflix/Prime/Hulu).

The cms now accepts and serves 4K video. The 4K standard specs for the cms (stream/download files) is: 3840x2160, a bitrate of 16000k, and framerate of 23.98. Anything larger will reduce to that size for the 4K video. The queue also creates 1080p, 720p, 480p, and 240p videos.
The 4K filesize is around 3x the filesize of the 1080p video. If the 1080p video is 100mb, the 4K will be around 300mb. That's not a very big file, considering some of these source video files coming in are 5-7gb.
The 4K bitrate is maxxing out the fastest browser speeds, but it will be standard eventually. Many members are asking for it.
I rebuilt the admin area file uploader to be faster and more functional. You can find that module under the UPLOAD tab.
If anyone is using GoDaddy hosted email, please check your accounts. They just moved everyone over to Microsoft 365 and it crashed a lot of email accounts, including mine. I moved my email over to the cms email server, which is at Hostwinds, and I'm back up.

I've been running a free site for around 10 years that just pulls in the latest updates from the cms sites. Its a simple search engine feeder but I thought I'd mention it in case anyone wants their site ommitted.
This is going to be a huge winter for paysites. There's been a lot of shakeups with the largest sites, and the lost members are falling everywhere like Autumn leaves. It will be a good Winter to pick up a few thousand new fans!
